Video: 2025 Orillia Canada Day

The 2025 Orillia Canada Day at Couchiching Beach Park was a success. By the time the noon hour parade got to the waterfront, there were thousands in the park riding the Rotary Train, eating food, or lining up to get some, getting a piece of the Mariposa Market Birthday Cake, swimming, picnic, and checking out the dozens of vendors.
There was music at the Aqua Theatre all afternoon and into the evening.
The clown, Waldo W. Wowser (Kevin Scharf) was one of many handing out miniature Canadian Flags. Wile chatting with him, more than a dozen people approached at different times to get a flag – all of the immigrants. The smiles on their faces and requests to take a photo with Waldo said everything about what this country is about.
