2023 OMHS Annual Garden Tour is on July 16.. There are 7 gardens to enjoy and to inspire. Refreshments, restrooms and artisans will be at the Edgar Community Hall (Old Barrie Road and Line 4). Ticket holders can pick up their tour programs (garden descriptions, addresses and maps all in one booklet) at Edgar Hall, or at any of the gardens on the tour. Selected local artisans will offer a variety of their original handiwork for sale at Edgar Community Hall.

Garden Tour tickets ($15) are available online, or at Carthew Bay Pub and Scoops, Ego’s Garden Centre, Robinson’s Hardware, Scott’s Garden Centre or the Windmill Garden Centre.

The June meeting at 7:30 p.m. features welder-artist Dee Ayotte, who will speak of the processes and inspirations for her beautiful metal garden art. A selection of Dee’s work will be on hand. There will also be tea, coffee and treats, and a door prize draw. The June meeting is at the Oro-Medonte arena at Highway 11 and Line 4.

OMHS meetings take place once per month, March through November. The meeting schedule is available on our website.

The 2023 OMHS annual Photography Competition will be judged in November. Photos are entered digitally. The competition is open to OMHS Members, their children or grandchildren under age 18. Judges are local photographers of note.  OMHS members’ photos are used in OMHS public communications, our yearbook, and to create prize-winning bookmarks.
