Foundry Park Design Plan Workshop

Press Release

The public is invited to learn more about the Foundry Park Design Plan project at a community workshop taking place on March 22 at 6 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the Orillia Recreation Centre.

The workshop is the final of three workshops the City is hosting for this project and attendees will have an opportunity for to review the preferred design, which is based on multiple options from the two previous workshops and online surveys.

Participants can also drop in any time between 6 and 7:30 p.m. For those who cannot attend, an online survey is available from March 22 to April 5.

Orillia Council approved funding in the 2022 budget to complete the community consultation and design work required for a new skateboard park and playground. New Line Skateparks was retained to complete the community consultation, design, and construction documentation.

Funding has not yet been allocated for the construction phase and the feedback will inform design plans, which will help position the City explore available funding opportunities.
