Dead Battery Pickup

All this week you can get rid of your dead batteries on your normal recycling pickup day. Put you batteries (up to 9V size) in a clear plastic bag and put that on top of your paper recycling box.

And while you are at it, replace your smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries now so you don’t have to have the old ones kicking around until the next battery pick up. The pickup does not apply to businesses and apartments. Of course, you can always take your old batteries to the land fill hazardous waste depot any time during normal operating hours.
