Accessibility Survey

Press Release

The City of Orillia’s accessibility advisory committee has started work on a 2023-2028 accessibility plan which will guide council and administration in prioritizing accessibility for residents across all areas of the municipality. A survey is available until August 31 for the community to provide input into the plan’s formation.

As part of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, all municipalities are required to prepare a multi-year accessibility plan to outline a municipality’s strategy to remove or prevent barriers. The survey includes questions about citizen’s experiences when using City facilities, functions and services, and provides an opportunity to nominate a local business as an Accessibility Champion in the City of Orillia.

The survey is also available in other formats. For assistance accessing the survey, please contact the City at 705-325-1311 or clerks@orillia.ca. All survey submissions are anonymous and will help to identify barriers and inform the new 2023-2028 Accessibility Plan.
