A Few Things About Parking

Friday, November 15 is a magical date for people visiting Orillia’s downtown, it’s the first day of free parking in municipal lots until January 5. You still have to plug the meter for street parking spaces (except street paring is free November 29).

In the mean time, if you have received a parking ticket, the City of Orillia’s annual Toys for Tickets program is available to make use of from now to December 2. Parking tickets can be paid for with toys. Bring your ticket and a toy (unwrapped, with sales receipt) of equal value to the ticket fine to City Hall and your ticket is covered. The toys will be given to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Child Advocacy Centre Simcoe/Muskoka for distribution.

Also on November 15, overnight parking on streets and municipal lots is prohibited from midnight to 7 a.m. This is the case until April 15, 2020.
