Suspect Wanted
UPDATE: July 18 suspect arrested.
Orillia OPP have issued an arrest warrant for Avery Nickerson, 35, of Parry Sound in connection with two bank robberies today. A man handed a teller at a downtown bank a note demanding cash, but left empty handed at about 3:30 p.m. Police say the same man then went to a west end bank and did the same thing, but cash was handed over. No weapons were seen in either case.
Police searched with dogs and by air, the emergency response team was called in, but were unable to find the suspect.
