This year’s Streets Alive public art project, Pedal Powered, got a break from the weather forecast Saturday. The morning rain held off so artists and downtown shoppers could enjoy a few hours in the Arts District looking over the 20 sculptures which will be installed on Mississaga Street all summer long. Ten downtown stores will also have bike themed window displays. The public can vote for their favourite at Jack and Maddy
A Kid’s Store and the Orillia Museum of Art and History until Starry Night in August.

Jane Sorenson and Kathy Manners launched a new company Saturday, selling accessories for bikers, including an original painted helmet by Paul Shilling.
