Scenes From A Fantastic Concert

Lance Anderson led a band of heavyweights in the 8th annual Gospel and Blues, Mariposa Folk Festival concert at St. Paul’s Centre Saturday night.
Before the concert started Mayor Steve Clarke presented a ceremonial $50,000 cheque to MFF president Pam Carter. The money is a grant for the City of Orillia. Clarke and Carter said they were looking forward to the 20th summer festival in a row in Orillia this July.
Band members Gary Craig (drums), Dennis Pendrith (bass), were joined by Jesse Whiteley (vocals and keyboards), and singers Michelle White and Harrison Kennedy. The show was sold out, with 400 in attendance. The band received several standing ovations during the concert.
