Good As Gold, Or Something Like That
The Orillia waste management advisory committee annual Treasure Hunt happens this weekend, May 18 and 19. You can put out to the curb unwanted, but still useful household items starting at 5 p.m. Friday. If the junk is still there you have to bring it in by Sunday 11 p.m., or you could get a fine.
You can repeat the process the third weekend of every month on these dates:
- May 18-19
- June 15-16
- July 20-21
- Aug. 17-18
- Sept. 21-22
- Oct. 19-20
For those looking for scavenged items who miss an opportunity on the weekend, you can visit the City’s Reuse Depot to take, free of charge, household items like pictures, furniture, books, paints, stains, car care products, waxes, polishes, paint thinners, home and garden products and more! The depot is open during regular site hours in the summer.
