Clear skies and warm temperatures marked another great day for cancer research thanks to the Orillia Terry Fox Run.
More than 400 participants and run day volunteers joined together at Tudhope Memorial Park to help raise $58,393, including terrific online fundraising, merchandise sales and an online auction. This brings the Orillia community run’s cumulative total raised since 1988 to $1,108,841. It also marks the 17th consecutive year the Orillia run has surpassed its one dollar per resident goal.
Terry Fox Runs were also held on Sunday in Barrie, Heart of Georgian Bay (Midland area), Sugarbush (Oro-Medonte), Lagoon City-Brechin, Beaverton, Gravenhurst and across Canada. The 2026 Terry Fox Run will be held Sunday. September 20th.
