They Came To Show, It Shined
By John Swartz
Thousands of people were out Saturday to see all the shiny cars on display at the annual Downtown Orillia Management Board’s Classic Car Show in downtown Orillia. It was a perfect day for chrome to sparkle and catch one’s reflection from finely waxed cars in a temperate and sunny day.
Downtown Orillia Management Board staff estimated there would be at least 350 cars and trucks attending. The most popular car, without counting, seemed to be Corvettes’ followed by Firebirds, Camaros and Triumphs.
Several buskers claimed some space throughout the downtown, adding to the ear candy prodded by The Offcuts, The Bogeys, Crusin and The Robb Watts Band.
