Suspect Wanted (UPDATED)

Orillia OPP have a warrant for Jake Marcellus, 20, of Orillia in connection with an incident in Ramara Township July 29. Police were called to a Logan Lane residence where a critically injured 23-year-old man was found and eventually transported by air ambulance to a Toronto hospital.
The suspect is wanted for attempted murder and police do not believe him to be a danger to the public. However, police urge the public to not approach Marcellus if he is located or his whereabouts are known.

UPDATE: Orillia OPP statement – “On September 27, 2019 the Orillia OPP arrested the suspect in relation to this matter without incident. The accused is being held in custody and set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on September 28, 2019. The accused is facing charges of Attempted Murder and Uttering Threats.”
